Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This extraordinary book explores the historical evolution of the mechanical arts from ancient Greece to the Italian Renaissance. The author takes readers on a journey through time, examining different cultures' attitudes toward the skilled craftspeople who produced everything from sculptures and paintings to the most utilitarian objects. The book sheds light on the often-overlooked contributions of artisans to civilization, challenging the traditional divide between "fine" and "useful" arts. Through fascinating anecdotes and analysis, the author reveals how society's perception of these professions has fluctuated over time, providing insights into the complex relationship between art, labor, and the human experience.
