Prima edizione Copia autografata
Condizione: Very Good. First Edition. The books in this 2 volume set are both hard-bound in brown cloth, with gilt stamping to the upper covers and spines, in nice dust jackets with some toning to the spines, held in a nice slip-case with light sunning and edge-wear. There are a few small, faint stain spots to the DJ spines. The covers show light sunning to the spines. The bindings are solid. The contents are bright and clean with nice illustrations by Maurice Sendak. The books in this 2 volume set are both signed by Lore Segal on the title-pages with an inscription in volume I. Laid in to volume I is an actual photograph which is signed by Lore Segal along with a small note written by Segal. From the collection of Cuthbert Christian Thambimuttu (1945-2019) of Columbus, Ohio - known to many of his bookseller, author, and illustrator friends as "Tubby." He was persistent in the pursuit of autographed books by the writers and artists he admired, including Gorey, Sendak, Heaney, Byatt, Morrison, Updike and many more. Joseph Heller once wrote to Tubby in response to one more "please sign and return" request: "This is turning out to be a hell of a lot of work!" All signed books unconditionally guaranteed to be authentic. Many of the books are inscribed to both Cuthbert and his great friend of more than two decades Antonia Gale Moss. ; Signed by Author Hardcover in Dust Jackets & Slipcase.
