Printed description tipped in on back. "D-1138-p-76" printed in lower-right corner on front. "Screenland, 9/30/27" written in red pencil on back. Also on back are a black stamp reading, "Columbia Pictures, Photo by Lippman," and a green stamp reading, "Approved, Advertising Advisory Council, Jul 29 1947, Hollywood." Two holes punched out in top margin. Photo is very clean and intact overall except for some wrinkling in the top margin and at the corners. A Very Good copy. It Had to Be You (1947) is a romantic comedy that was released by Columbia Pictures. The movie is about a young woman named Victoria Stafford (played by Ginger Rogers) who has been engaged and backed out at the altar three times. Her life becomes complicated when, amid a fourth engagement to Oliver Harrington, she meets the man of her dreams, Johnny Blaine (Cornel Wilde), who, in turn, has an uncanny resemblance to another man named George McKesson. Description on back: "A Romance??? Cornel Wilde and 4-year-old Mary Jayne Saunders pose for the still photographer between scenes of Columbia's 'It Had to Be You.' Little Mary Jayne plays the role of a flower girl for Ginger Rogers during a wedding scene. (D-1138-p-76).".
