Part-4 State-wise glimpses of Indian Mangroves West Bengal. Part-5 Significance of Mangroves. Part-6 Conservation and Management. India is one of the 17 mega biodiversity countries in the world. However, taxonomic inventory of India biota is far from complete. The goal of this publication is to identify and describe the mangrove plant species of India. Towards this objectives, the taxonomical identity and distribution of mangrove species found in the country is revised and described. During field investigations, each species of mangrove and associated plants were identified and sampled. Description and high-resolution image material for each species is provided, which allows easy identification of individual species. This information is needed for coastal management planning and policy development, especially in relation to shoreline rehabilitation and expansion of appropriate shoreline livelihood projects in the face of climate change and sea level rise. Furthermore, global distribution of each mangrove species and its conservation status is provided. Voucher specimens of all the mangrove species reported in the text have been deposited at CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow (LWG) as well in Annamalai University and regional centres of Botanical Survey of India as reference collections for the country.

Condizione: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - The God of crows is no longer In order to destroy a totalitarian nation that assumed power through manipulating the pantheon of animal gods, the god of crows has turned into the mortal woman Kalisha to undo the nation's darkest spell from within. Relying on the magical knowledge she retains from her transformation, her wits, crows, and a damning level of secrecy, Kalisha also struggles to protect her sanity from the horrific evils around her.An origin story of the qui-lahk people of Adijari, this tale highlights the link between animals and the qui-lahk people bonded to them, who can choose to live harmoniously with their totem or abuse that relationship for power. This begins a series of globe spanning Adijari stories forever changed by the Legacy of the Crow.

Condizione: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - The young Gradni has always known that dragons were evil, a belief widely held by the four people of Adijari - his own elves who can summon the energy in the atmosphere, the devs who are empowered by light, the amesha who have a kinship with the earth, and the qui-lahk who share a bond with animals. When his father dies fighting the dragons of Zipacna, Gradni's only goal is to follow in his footsteps and help destroy the dragons once and for all. But after being recruited by the manipulative Mogurn, Gradni must compete against Erdun, an amesha who has been imbued with the power of the Fire Spirit Ta'ar, and trained by the dev cult that has already eradicated one of the eight dragon species. In addition to being a pawn in a political game of conquest, Gradni starts to doubt if the dragons really are the villains he always thought they were. Alone and without guidance he wonders which side deserves his loyalty, his own people who are offering him everything he wanted, or the misunderstood dragons whom he has hated his entire life.Kirkus review calls it 'An ambitious fantasy tale that builds an enticing world with simple but effective details.'.
