It is good that a work so unique in its sphere is to be condensed and translated into English by Dr. Baisinger and Dr. Holmes and extended by the authors. Such a step cannot fail to enhance its influence and it will be a valuable addition to English literature in a subject which, despite its theoretical and practical importance, has not yet received the attention it deserves.
