Un volume petit in-4° (25x20 cm), demi-reliure cuir rouge, à la bradel, et à coins; couverture initiale conservée, dos à 5 nerfs, avec 5 caissons ornés de motifs dorés, plus un sixième portant le titre (" Félicien ROPS") en lettres dorées également. Sur la coiffe inférieur on peut lire l'année d'édition et de reliure : 1928. Fac…e à la page titre se trouve un frontispice (le portrait gravé sur bois, en noir, de Félicien ROPS, gravé par JEAN DUBRAY, l'auteur du livre).Celui-ci compte 289 Pages + la Table des gravures et le justificatif .La table des gravures recense: 5 planches en couleurs, 117 planches en noir hors texte et 132 planches dans le texte. Citons quelques lignes du texte de Jean DUBRAY évoquant l'art de Félicien ROPS: "Curieux au paroxysme, il savait l'art de fureter dans les boudoirs étranges et y découvrir les finesses pleines de mystères de la vie de Paris aussi que les hasards des poses surprises. Il pénètre tout, il voit tout, il voit juste, parce que cruel. Quelle est la femme qui n'a point ouvert sa porte, qui ne lui a découvert la robustesse de ses tétons trouant son costume, et ses fesses sonores"Notre exemplaire porte le N° 599.
