Le Doyen de la Faculté de Médecine de Paris"; mit Siegelabriss, ohne Textverlust. Jean Jeacques Leroux des Tillets (1749-1832), Pariser Arzt, der zur Revolutionszeit als "officier municipal" tätig war, und in der Nacht der Erstürmung der Tuilerien (10.8.1792) an der Seite des Königs Ludwig des XVI. blieb. Er wurde 1795 wegen kontrarevolutionären Aktionen zum Tode verurteilt, konnte jedoch entkommen und erhielt unter Napoleon 1814 das Kreuz der Ehrenlegion. Wurde dann Dekan der medizinischen Fakultät. Er starb 1832 an der Cholera. Der Adressat Louis-Benoit Guersent (1777-1848) wurde 1813 aufgrund der Typhusepidemie nach Paris geschickt, um Mittel zu ihrer Bekämpfung zu finden. Später war er Arzt am Hopital des Enfants, wurde Offizier der Ehrenlegion, Mitglied der königlichen Académie der Wissenschaften und beratender Arzt des Königs. Er verfasste wichtige Arbeiten zu Kinderkrankheiten. In diesem inhaltsreichen Brief bittet Leroux Guersent um einen Bericht über seine Erfahrungen während der Typhusepidemie, der bei der Kommission zur Gesundheitsvorsorge eingereicht und später in einem Buch publiziert werden soll *).
