Jahrhunderts.Erst langsam wird sein Werk wieder zum Erklingen gebracht - vor allem in seinen beiden Heimatorten, dem Schweizerischen Rapperswil und der sächsischen Landeshauptstadt Dresden.Die erste Biographie über Curti verfasste der Komponist, Pianist und Musikschriftsteller Hans Jelmoli (1877-1936). Sie erschien 1900 im 88. Neujahrsblatt der Allgemeinen Musikgesellschaft in Zürich. Im 97. Neujahrsblatt wurde diese Biographie in aktualisierter Auflage erneut veröffentlicht. Ein im Besitz des Herausgebers befindliches Exemplar diente dieser Reprint-Ausgabe als Grundlage.Diese erste Biographie zeigt zwar einerseits schon die Distanz zum Zeitpunkt der Veröffentlichung bereits verstorbenen Franz Curti, ist allerdings durch die Befragung von Zeitzeugen noch sehr nahe an dem Musiker.
