They were published between 1797 and 1817 and thus cover a large part of Beethoven's compositional lifetime, mirroring important stages of his musical development. Our revised edition incorporates the findings contained in the critical report of the Beethoven Complete Edition which was compiled at the same time. The Urtext edition has been re-engraved, but the proven page layout of the previous edition has been preserved. The renowned cellist David Geringas provided completely new fingerings and bowings for the cello part, which also has excellent page turns. An unmarked Urtext part is also included._; Les cinq sonates pour violoncelle et piano de Beethoven représentent avec les suites pour violoncelle seul de Bach l'apogée de la littérature pour violoncelle. Parues entre 1797 et 1817, elles couvrent une grande part de la période créatrice du compositeur et reflètent des stations importantes de son évolution musicale. La présente édition révisée se base sur les résultats du «Kritischer Bericht» (parution automne 2008) de la «Beethoven-Gesamtausgabe», l'édition complète des oeuvres de Beethoven. Le violoncelliste réputé David Geringas a conçu une partie de violoncelle totalement réorganisée incluant des changements de page optimisés. Erschienen zwischen 1797 und 1817, decken sie einen Großteil von Beethovens Schaffenszeitraum ab und spiegeln wichtige Stationen seiner kompositorischen Entwicklung. Unsere revidierte Ausgabe folgt den Erkenntnissen des gleichzeitig erstellten Kritischen Berichts zur Beethoven-Gesamtausgabe. Die Urtext-Edition erscheint im Gewand eines vollständigen Neusatzes. Der Klavierteil greift dabei die bewährte Raumaufteilung der Vorgängerausgabe auf.
