VIII, 416 Seiten Jenssen-Tusch: Georg Friedrich v. J., war geboren am 28. October 1789 in Kotzenbüll in der Landschaft Eiderstedt, Provinz Schleswig-Holstein. Er war der Sohn des Notars, vormaligen Premier-Lieutenants Hans Peter v. J., der sich als Schriftsteller über Bienenzucht bekannt gemacht hat. Nachdem er die Cadettenschule durchgemacht, ward er 1807 Seconde-Lieutenant, 1810 Premier-Lieutenant, 1820 Capitän im schleswigschen Infanterieregiment, auch Vorsteher der Unteroffizierschule seit 1819, sowie Mitglied der Commission für die Garnisonschule in Schleswig 1828. Im J. 1833 ward er als Major pensionirt, 1843 Postmeister in Tönning, 1848 mit Wartegeld entlassen. Er lebte von der Zeit an den Wissenschaften und litterarischen Arbeiten, meist in Hamburg.
