First edition. Nice copy of this beautifully illustrated work from Texas artist, Bubi Jessen (1908-1979). Laid in is a letter from the Texas Book Arts Guild at Southern Methodist University to Dick Bosse, Dallas bookman and owner/manager of the historic Aldredge Bookstore, explaining that there should have been a supplementary leaf from the printer, Carl Hertzog, handed out at a guild event the week prior. That leaf is enclosed, specially printed by Hertzog, and titled "Design Analysis of 'Humbert," which gives a lengthy discussion of design problems of the work and an example in the form of a page of the text on the verso.
