Wrapper extremities slightly rubbed and rather toned, light soil, else Very Good, internally fine. Czech poet Václav Ren 's interpretation…in verse of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel," lavishly illustrated by a young(ish) Jiri Trnka (1912-1969). Following the end of World War II, Trnka turned his hand to puppeteering and animation and has been dubbed today as "the Walt Disney of Eastern Europe" (Dominik Jun, "Jirí Trnka: 100th Anniversary of the Birth of a Great Czech Animator" (2012)).
