Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - In this high pressure, fast paced world, it's easy to lose sight of the beauty before us. Joan Kantor's newest collection of poems, The Magic of Moments: From Mindfulness to Reflection, is about taking even the briefest moments of time to notice nature. As Kantor tells her readers, some of her most amazing experiences in nature happened in just seconds or minutes. Kantor discovers the magic of these moments in a peaceful place of mindful reflection. Many of her poems' first drafts were actually 'written' in the water, woods, or other natural settings. The words often come to her during a meditative state. After putting them down on paper, she is often surprised at the metaphors and connections she discovers. Much reflection and crafting then goes into forming the words into complete poems; a joyful revisiting of the experience that she is then able to share with her readers. These poems are an antidote to the harried digital world. There's always time for one page of vividly descriptive yet simple and thoughtful poetry; that brief connection with the natural world, a 'magical moment', will follow you through your entire day. Better yet, Kantor hopes to inspire others to fully experience their own magical moments in nature.…
