In order to stop the invasion and turn back the tide of death and destruction inexorably bearing down upon Tir Glas, she must not only locate the exiled Sword of her own people but convince those in power to act with all possible haste. Facing great opposition, Fodhla has no choice but to take matters into her own hands and set out herself, once more accompanied by her new friends on a journey across Tir Glas to force the hand of those with the power to take action against the coming invasion. Along the way, Fodhla comes to learn more of herself than she wants, and she has to make difficult choices, face real danger and deal with both enemies and strange allies. While famine threatens to engulf Tir Glas, Fodhla and her small group of friends have to become the most unlikely of heroes to save themselves and everything they hold dear. But will it be enough?
