Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the idea that a body, whether solid or liquid, is subject to repeated motion and stillness when contained within another body. The containing body, if capable of movement itself, will force the contents to change shape in order to accommodate the shape and capacity of the container. This principle forms the basis of the author's argument that the position of a fetus within the uterus is not random, but rather the result of a series of mechanical adaptations that ensure the fetus's survival and successful delivery. The author traces the development of this theory from its inception to its present-day applications in the field of obstetrics. By examining the relationship between the shape and size of the uterus and the fetus, the author sheds light on the complex interplay of forces that govern the birthing process. This book is a valuable resource for medical professionals and anyone interested in the fascinating mechanisms that ensure the continuation of life.
