Pebbled black cloth; light rubbing to boards; residue from removed sticker at lower spine with some shallow overlap onto adjoining lower boards; slight dulling/flaking to front board and spine's stamping but all still easily legible. Some foxing to text block edges; past owner's name/address label affixed to front pastedown; interior pages are clean. Binding is firm. A very good copy. Laid-in at front endpapers is the author's promotional brochure/order form announcing the first printing of Volume III and reprintings of preceding Volumes I and II. With Preface, a few b/w plates, and Index.
