Butts IV (illustratore). first published in 1879 - this edited edition published 1957 - no edition or printing stated but does contain a small review copy card from the Publisher, age toning to edges of text block - rubbing wear to top corner on rear board and bottom corner of front board - bumping along bottom edges of boards, mylar enclosed dj shows edge wear with scuffing to corners and folds - creasing along top/bottom edges of rear panel with small chips to top/bottom of fold rear panel to flap - chipping up to 1/4" to top/bottom of spine, original price intact, illustrated with historical black & white photographs in addition to the drawings with illustrated end papers, also included are maps of "Andersonville Prison Park" and "Andersonville National Cemetery", a 1965 newspaper article on Capt. Wirz and two other publications.
