Fotografia
Original vintage reference photograph from the 1957 film, showing actor Arthur Kennedy. Based on the 1956 novel by Grace Metalious. Gossip is pervasive in a small New England town, leading everyone to do what they can to hide their secrets and scandals until they boil over. The film tied with "The Little Foxes" (1941) for the most Academy Award nominations-but no wins. Set in the fictional New England town of Peyton Place, shot on location in Maine, New Hampshire, and New York. 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, with splash at top left corner.

Fotografia Prima edizione
Set of 3 vintage snapshot-size keybook publicity photographs for both the 1957 and 1958 films, with punch holes at the left (or top) margin as called for. Each photograph shows a different take of actors Diane Varsi and Christine Carére sitting side-by-side in matching chairs, each reading (and showing each other) a first edition of "Peyton Place" and a first edition of Françoise Sagan's "A Certain Smile." Both films were produced and released by Twentieth Century-Fox. To our knowledge, snapshot-size reference photographs were utilized only by Twentieth Century-Fox, during a period roughly between 1940-1965, and are very scarce, particularly in the keybook format. 4 x 5 inches. All photos Near Fine or better.
