Blue cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine and front board; Russian crest on front board in gilt. 257 pp tall 8vo. Here for the first time is an English translation of the pertinent parts of authoritative report on the alleged murder of Nicholas II, the last Emperor of all the Russias. In 1924-25 the author published his conclusions in Europe. The translator supplies his own commentary in which he states that Sololov's conclusions are not convincing and may be contaminated by the planting of false evidence. He feels that the "death" of Nicholas II may have been a hoax and that he lived out a normal life of obscurity and anonymity. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
