The Chronicle has survived in just two MS collections - ( Cottonian Nero D.ii & a second in papers from Clumber. ) The work was written at the Abbey of St Benet at Holme and is a history of England up until 1293, & it begins with Alfred the Great. It includes a history of St Benet Holme as well as several other brief documents and like all 13th century chronicles contains much on the author's own time. 1250 grams.
