Minor age discoloration, soiling, shelf wear, edge wear to cover. Inscribed on the title page by John Weir, the translation, to B.C. Communist Party and labour activist Tom McEwen, "With warm affection and high esteem". Laid in is a flyer advertising the British Columbia Shevchenko Festival, held at the Garden Auditorium in Vancouver, on June 2 and 3, 1961. Some edge soiling, foxing. Binding is square and tight. Pages are clean and unmarked. Inscribed by Author(s).

      Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. No Jacket. 5-3/8" x 8-1/8", 341pp incl. prelims. Printed on off white alkaline paper and bound in sewn signatures in blue cloth boards. Jacket is lost. Title block stamped in silver foil on front panel and spine. There is a 2" in diameter soiled spot at the foot of the front panel adjacent to the spine, which is age discolored and darkened. Otherwise, corners are bumped, with minor edge wear, shelf wear to cover. Spotting, age discoloration / darkening to top edge of book block. Previous owner's name in ink on front free end paper. Laid in is a Review Copy slip from the publisher advertising the publication date, May, 1956. Binding is square and tight. Pages are clean and bright and unmarked.
