Summer 2009, when these very difficult things were occurring, is when God the Father began showing the way of thanksgiving. This way turned that terrible time into the best of my life. To list them, our children were taken away from us for 2 months, our son went to jail, my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and I lost my business of 22 years. A week after this all started, on July 29,2009, I woke up at 5:00 AM and was remembering all the times, those first 25 years of marriage that I had been a bad husband and father. I was very often angry and unkind to my wife and children. I laid there crying for about an hour and a half. Not that I was necessarily responsible for every action of those in my family but that I had fostered a bad atmosphere so these terrible situations occurred. I stayed in this quagmire for about three weeks. After which He(God The Father)started coming to me and gave me The Way of Thanksgiving, which is His Will, On Earth as it is in Heaven. The point of this recalling is to emphasize that you will have to start with your own introspection and honestly be sorrowful for your misdeeds. Then and only then is this wonderful grace of thankfulness there to bring you peace and happiness. This was also the best time of my life.
