-Good condition. -Spine is square with heavy fraying and material loss at the head and tail. -Text block shows age toning and foxing. -Cover boards are heavily bumped and moderately rubbed with edge wear, exhibiting small areas of blemishing, bleaching, and mottling; printing remains intact and lightly rubbed. -This book is shaken with several cracked gutters throughout, and the internal hinges are starting but still holding. Pages show moderate age toning and occasional offsetting, typical of paper stock from this era. -Text remains clean and well?attached to the signatures, though the binding is delicate. -This volume contains period commentary and terminology regarding race that reflect the attitudes and language of its 1919 publication era and may be considered offensive today.
