Red and black patterned slipcase: H 25.75cm x L 17cm. [2], i-xxiv, 1-637 pages plus unpaged plates. No dust jacket as issued. Bright red leather binding with vibrant gilt stamp…ing to spine and both boards with the latter slightly marred by minor soiling and small white specks of paper which originate from the slipcase's inner panels. All edges gilt. Sewn-in red silk ribbon page marker. Red moire endpapers. Interior pages are bright and clean. Binding remains crisp. Still a handsome book in a fine slipcase.
