The last of three Bill Crane films, th…e first two being "The Westland Case" (1937) and "The Lady in the Morgue" (1938). Here, Bill Crane (Foster) visits a country estate where the occupants have been receiving threatening letters from someone called "The Eye." 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, waviness and faint tape residue on the rectos.

Based on the 1935 novel "Headed for a Hearse" by Jonathan Latimer. A "locked door" mystery, wherein Preston Foster stars as a private detective searches against the clock to find evidence to free Theodore Von Eltz, awaiting the death penalty for murdering his wife, who was killed in a room with all the doors and windows locked from the inside. 8 x 10 inches.
