Molly's father is captured by the French, Molly must use her wits and courage to survive and find a w…ay to rescue her father. 270 pages, 5-1/2" X 7-3/4". No dust jacket. Coarse light brown cloth covered boards, illustrated front panel, title on the spine and front panel. 270 pages, 5-1/2" X 7-3/4". Hardcover boards have smudge and rubbing wear marks, title lettering on the spine panel is faded, tips of the corners are bumped in, edge wear to the tips of the corners and along the head and heel of the spine panel. The ffep has a pencil squiggle mark, about 3" X 3". No writing on the text pages. Lots of foxing/tanning spots to the title page and frontispiece. Stain mark on the top right corner of the text pages from the title page to page 30, and also from page 200 through the end of the book. The stain is a triangular shaped discoloration, about 3" X 2". Stain only is a discoloration on the pages, the pages are not stuck together, text lettering not damaged. Gilt top edge is intact. Binding is intact if somewhat worn. Not a library discard copy.
