This work give a thorough picture of the various phases of the rescue action taken by the Danish Resistance after it was learned that the Germans intended Jewish deportations. It also gives a historical review of the history and conditions of the Jews in Denmark. Of Denmark's 7, 000 Jewish citizens, 474 were caught by the Gestapo ands ent to concentration campes. The majority of the others were rescured and spent the remainder of the war in Sweden. The author was a member of the Danish sabotage group "Holger Danske" and was a prisoner of the Germans at Neuengamme. Good. No dust jacket. Cover and title page scuffed. Other wear and soiling to cover.
