Front endpage bears a lengthy, tongue-in-cheek inscription to Senator Weaver, below which the author signed and dated (1948). Title page is inscribed simply, "In my own hand" and is also signed by the author. Good+ in a Good Minus dust jacket. Binding is weak (behind first blank endpage) but still holding. Page 227 has a short tear and some short but hard creases at top margin. Jacket has a good deal of browning, plus is chipped at spine-ends and has a two-inch tear about midway down at the front flap fold. Jacket spine has a couple of small holes and there's a half-inch tear at top of front panel. Signed by Author(s).
