Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good-. 113 pages. The book has a protective plastic cover on it. Under the plastic, there is some staining on the spine but otherwise, the cover is in very good condition. Inside the front cover is a former owner's name and the first page of the Forward is missing, outside of that there are no other visible markings within the book and it is in Very Good condition. This book will be carefully wrapped up and then boxed and shipped right away from here in New Jersey and comes with our enormous gratitude for your interest and order.

Book is in near fine condition, crisp and clean, with tight binding and sharp corners. Laid in are two typed, SIGNED letters (1942 and 1948) and other ephemera from folk festival promoter Jean Thomas. Thomas's travels through the mountains of eastern Kentucky as a court reporter exposed her to the musical traditions, dialect, folkways, and costumes of the local mountain people and led her to found the American Folk Song Society in 1930, staged in and near Ashland, Kentucky. Small 4to. 113 pp. Including index.
