VOLUME ONE: i-xvi, 1-910, 1-127 pages; touch of soiling at top of front flyleaf verso and top of opposing half-title recto with latter also having short tear; interior pages are otherwise bright and clean; glued down to front free endpaper is small stationery sheet from Jefferson Bookstore, Yoknapatawpha, Oxford, Miss. with undated handwritten eight-line ink note (ALS) from author to a prominent Columbus, MS attorney and University of Mississippi board member Hunter M. Gholson with concluding two lines "With best wishes, Joseph Blotner;" operating dates of the Jefferson Bookstore are unknown but, at best, its was a short-lived operation probably open between 1975 to 1978 (Richard Howorth, owner of Oxford's landmark Square Books which was founded in 1979, mentions in a blog that Blotner had a book-signing at a Duvall's clothing store in 1974 as there was no bookstore in Oxford at that time).
