Mr. Therance faith and determination have guided him through tremendous adversity, and he shares his story in this inspiring new work.A near-death experience early in life provided the author with an intimate understanding of the constant presence of God within our world and on appreciation for the miracle he has witnessed. Painful episodes of government harassment and racial discrimination reveal the shocking discrepancies the still exist within our culture. Throughout it all, while plagued by sickness and the resulting financial difficulties, the Therance family has found strength and courage through their trust in divine intervention and their own will to survive. Outcast with God's Miracles forces the reader to look at harsh social realities while offering Joseph Therance's testimony to the power of the individual through his deeply personal account of a life lived in search of the great American dream. About the AuthorJoseph Therance is a native of Baton Rouge, Luisianna, where he currently resides with his wife, Eddie Jewel Therance. He is the proud father of the two grown daughters, Jacinta Crocam and Tania Johnson.Mr. Therance holds a bachelor of science degree in art education, and he recently retired from his position as a pipefitter at Exxon. Pervious to Outcast with God's Miracles, he has written two other books, Signs of Life and Horse Racing: Plotting Winners. In addition to writing prose, the author has produced song lyrics and artistic portraits, as well as various inventions. His diverse interest include woodworking, reading, fishing, and listening to classical music.
