A famous adaptation of this historical theme was Friedrich Schiller's play with the same title which premiered 1783 at the Hoftheater in Bonn, Germany. Published in honor of Rudolf Koch for his 50th birthday, a German type designer, in Maximilian-Gothic on the hand press of the Officina Serpentis on request of Gotthard Laske and Gustav Wisburn on November 11, 1926.
