Jostin was an exiled Czechoslovakian official who worked with Jan Masaryk in Prague until just before Masaryk's death and the eventual takeover by Communists. The book presents the author's inside view of the Czechoslovakian crisis, which he attributes to careful planning done in Moscow. Nemuze tedy popisovat vsechny politicke procesy, k nimz behem let dochazelo, at uz jsou procesy s Miladou Horakovou a ostatnimi predstaviteli nekomunistickych predunorovych stran, tak i s tzv. Slanskeho centrem. Mnozi komuniste, kteri se v unorovych dnech tak bezohledne exponovali proti demokratickym silam, prosli pak timto komunistickym mlynem sami.
