In 8vo grande in oblungo, album completo con 20 incisioni in rame all'acquatinta, b/n, cm 21,5 x 28,5 circa (alla lastra) e 24,5 x 32 circa (il foglio) cadauna, filetti decorati di inquadratura, copertina or…iginale stampata in cromolitografia con titoli e ricche decorazioni in rosso, blu, verde e ricche finiture oro. Si tratta di vedute di città e cittadine della Germania, che l'occhio del navigatore può incontrare navigando le rive del fiume Reno, fra Heildelberg e Koln (Colonia); ciascuna città e cittadina è raffigurata come attraversata o toccata da un tratto di fiume ed è arricchita dalla presenza di castelli, ponti e scorci architettonici, talvolta da figure. Le venti vedute rappresentate sono: Frankfurt a/m, Mainz, Der Dom in Mainz, Coln, Heidelberg, Coblenz, Ems, Stolzenfels, Biebrich, Braubach, Bingen, Rudesheim, Pfalz, Der Lurleifelsen, Lahneck, Godesberg, Rheinstein, Oberwesel, Nonnenwerth, Die Griechische Kapelle. La maggior parte di esse sono disegnate dal vivo e incise da Jacob Lorenz Rudisuhli ("J. L. Rudisuhli delineavit" a sn. e "J. L. Rudisuhli sculpit a ds., in lastra); gli altri autori sono Jacob Fürchtegott Dielmann (1809 1855) e Carl Jügel Köbig (1783 - 1869). Tutte le vedute sono sciolte dalla brossura e presentano una lieve patina ai margini ma tutte sono ottimamente impresse e in buono stato di conservazione (non hanno fioriture è solo l'effetto della fotografia).
