Notable achievements include spearheading critical projects in decentralised planning, administrative reforms, service delivery, and knowledge management. Dr. Unnikrishnan's groundbreaking work in e-governance for local self-government institutions earned him national and international recognition. He leads Kerala's transition to a Knowledge Economy and drives innovation promotion initiatives. His exceptional contributions have garnered numerous awards and positioned him as a leader in driving socio-economic growth and technological advancements in Kerala. Kiran Kumar Kakarlapudi is an Assistant Professor at Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation (GIFT), Thiruvananthapuram. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Centre for Development Studies (CDS) affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram. His research broadly focuses on applied development economics, emphasising issues relating to innovation and development at the micro and macro levels and labour market impacts of innovation and technology.
