Popular American love song written by lyricist Gus Kahn (1886-1941) and composer Joe Sanders, issued in 1928 by Irving Berlin, Inc. The song reflects the late 1920s popular ballad style, combining romantic lyricism with a gently flowing waltz tempo. The arrangement by May Singhi Breen incorporates accessible ukulele chord diagrams, reflecting the widespread popularity of the instrument during the period. The rear page contains publisher advertising featuring a musical excerpt from Irving Berlin's song "I Can't Do Without You," rather than the title cited in some catalog records. Rose Starmer (active circa 1910s-1930s) was an American commercial illustrator best known for her sheet music cover designs produced during the Tin Pan Alley era.
