These 193 pages were written, with Hanson's collaboration, in the 1980's but only came to light on the death of Karras (1999). READ more about : Ross Lake Island, Ridge Brown, Kai Thorson, pea-pool gamblers, Snake Rapids, Ernest Sytender, Little Bear Lake, fur catch, and Pelican Narrows. The b/w map opposite page one shows the central Saskatchewan territory patrolled by Hanson (1920's) to enforce game laws. A few b/w photographs accompany text. Cond : Green paper wrapper with titling similar. Front cover photo of Hanson and his dog is from about 1920. Volume is bright, tight, square, and clean. No names. Minimal wear. Name of p/o has been cut off the corner of the half-title. Almost giftable ! ! QUote (p. 44) : " My nose was greeted by a strong odour coming from the directions of three wooden casks at the far end of the cabin. On investigating I found all the barrels were full of ._._._. .
