This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The research and development of nanotechnology is very active globally and has real commercial potential for the textile industry. The ¿nanö in nanotechnology comes from the Greek word ¿nanos¿ that means dwarf. Scientists use this prefix to indicate 10-9 or one billionth. One nanometer is one billionth meter that is about 100,000 times smaller than the diameter of a single human hair. Nanotechnology is called a ¿bottom up¿ technology by which bulk materials can be built precisely in tiny building blocks, different from traditional manufacture ¿top down¿ technology. Therefore, resultant materials have fewer defects and higher quality. This book presents an overview of the classifications of nanomaterials and their use in the textile field. 56 pp. Englisch.

Condizione: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - It could be safely concluded that, surface modification of textile blend fabrics, cotton and polyester wether by silica sol or silica nanoparticles via the promising, simple and valuable sol-gel technique using metal alkoxides precursors such as (APTES, GPTMS and TEOS) produced modified fabric blends (PET W and PET C) that could be printed successfully with one class of dyes (anionic, nonionic) using the proper selected printing technique. Also multi-functional dyes with properties such as antibacterial dyes could be used providing functionality to those fabrics. The fastness properties of the modified fabrics (light, washing, rubbing, perspiration) range from v. good to excellent. The above achievements help in solving blend fabrics coloration problems.
