This copy belonged to the late great Jill Johnston, whose stamp appears on the half-title page thus: "Write First. Then Live." Johnstons' underlining appears on the first two pages of the book. This is a presentation copy from Kate Millet, which lacks the afterword by Selma Yampolsky which would appear in the published version. Laid in is a handwritten autographed signed letter (on pink letter stationery folded twice) to Johnston from Millet urging her to read the book. It reads, in part, ".I thought she was crazy & fucked up & terrific See what you think."
