Aggiungi al carrello116pp 22x14, stapled card covers Staples rather rusty with some marking on the cover as a result, contents good with a few marks here and there. The literary journal Wales was edited by William Jones under the name Keidrych Rhys and was an important contributor to the growth of Welsh poetry and writing from the 1930s onwards. This was the 21st edition rather than the 21st birthday (the first edition was in 1937, 8 years previously) and has poems by Robert Graves among much else.…

Aggiungi al carrello312pp, broadsheet folded and bound in. 23x15, grey cloth with black cloth spine, silver lettering Slightly faded cloth, very small crease on a few corners, good thus. The literary journal Wales was edited by William Jones under the name Keidrych Rhys and was an important contributor to the growth of Welsh poetry and writing from the 1930s onwards. The first edition features a short story by Dylan Thomas, a poem by Glyn Jones and much else from many other leading names, and these first 11 issues continue in a similar vein. The collection of the first eleven editions, and the one page Wartime Broadsheet is a vital insight into a vibrant and growing revival of Welsh writing.…

Aggiungi al carrelloNo Binding. Condizione: Very Good Plus. 1st Edition. Single olive-green sheet (35.5 x 22.9cm) printed in black on one side only. Printed and distributed by The Welsh Outlook Press at around the end of the first series of 'Wales' magazine (also edited by Rhys, predominantly), the new series of which did not appear until July 1943. Needless to say that due to events at the time - profits from this publication went to the Red Cross - and due to its format, the broadsheet is very rare. Contributors include William Empson, Glyn Jones, Ll. Wyn Griffith, Davies Aberpennar, Margaret Richards, and D. Kighley Baxendall. Folded twice (not particularly neatly) and with a pencilled adjustment to the price, both presumably as issued; that aside, mild rubbing towards the lower right corner, the edges at and around the tail slightly faded or toned (encroaching upon, but not obscuring, only a little text). An excellent survivor.…
