Comic describing the subversion of the Netherlands by Nazi sympathizers and eventual takeover of the country. It sets out describing Dutch family life with children, including little brother 'with a tick', and military oriented neighbors training their children for the "real fight." One day little brother Tontje starts visiting and spending time with the neighbor "Uncle Brommy," and promptly gets spanked for it. Turns out that uncle Brommy had written a book guiding the Dutch people into the new world. The comic proceeds to develop a slow conversion of society to become a military state with house searches, deportations, denunciations, starvation, etc. ending with the liberation by the old friend Eisenhower. Notable that the term Nazi isn't used in the text at all. Only one OCLC entry at the Dutch Library in South Africa. Text in Dutch. Very light wear along edges of binding. Block lightly age-toned.
