In zwölf englischsprachigen Beiträgen werden die Ergebnisse einer umfangreichen archäometrischen Analyseserie mittels Neutronenaktivierung von euböischer und verwandter Keramik des 10. bis 8. Jahrhunderts v. Chr. vorgestellt. Untersucht wurden 131 (proto)geometrische Gefäße aus Fundorten auf Euböa (Chalkis, Eretria, Lefkandi), Attika (Oropos), in Ionien (Ephesos, Kyme), in der Levante (Al Mina) sowie in Süditalien (Bojano, Cerveteri, Pontecagnano, Veji). Wichtigstes Ergebnis ist die Lokalisierung des Rohstoffes der Hauptgruppe euböischer Keramik in den Tongruben von Phylla bei Lefkandi. An den überseeischen Fundorten können sowohl euböische Importe als auch lokale Nachahmungen (in Ionien und Süditalien) nachgewiesen werden. Aus dem Inhalt: H.
