Wrapper included in page count. The illustrations are four full-page chromolithographed views of Nürnberg by German artist Lorenz Ritter (1832-1921). Text includes the poem "Nuremberg" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and an announcement, dated Oct. 15, 1904, by A. L. Kesner for Gimbel Brothers that the toys and dolls he had purchased in Germany would be in the store in time for the holidays. Abraham L. Kesner (1869-1917) was a buyer and manager with Gimbel Brothers for six years. By the end of 1904 he had joined his brothers in Chicago at another mercantile business. A scarce Gimbel's promotional item. In Very Good Condition: spine is rubbed; wrapper is lightly soiled and scraped; internally clean and tight.
