This research shows us that these studies have been carried out based on two approaches: 'agency-based', which tries to understand what role women can have in reducing corruption, and 'victim-based', which intends to understand the effects of corruption on women. While adopting the first approach has cast a strong shadow on existing researches, few studies have been allocated to victim-based approach to women. In agency-based approach, two tendencies have equally led the studies. This book shares these ideas via a systematic review of the various papers on gender and corruption and can be helpful for people and scholars who want to attain a basic information in this field. 56 pp. Englisch.

Die meis…ten dieser Studien kommen zu dem Schluss, dass Frauen im Allgemeinen weniger Korruption begehen als Männer, konnten jedoch keinen gemeinsamen Grund dafür finden, und von der angeborenen Reinheit von Frauen bis hin zur Beeinträchtigung demokratischer Institutionen wurden Gründe für die geringe Korruption bei Frauen genannt. Diese Untersuchung zeigt uns, dass diese Studien auf der Grundlage von zwei Ansätzen durchgeführt wurden: Der 'handlungsorientierte' Ansatz, der zu verstehen versucht, welche Rolle Frauen bei der Verringerung der Korruption spielen können, und der 'opferorientierte' Ansatz, der versucht, die Auswirkungen der Korruption auf Frauen zu verstehen. Während die Annahme des ersten Ansatzes einen starken Schatten auf die bestehenden Forschungen geworfen hat, wurden nur wenige Studien dem opferbasierten Ansatz für Frauen zugeordnet. Beim handlungsorientierten Ansatz haben zwei Tendenzen die Studien gleichermaßen geleitet. Esta investigação mostra-nos que estes estudos foram efectuados com base em duas abordagens: 'baseada na agência', que tenta compreender o papel que as mulheres podem ter na redução da corrupção, e 'baseada na vítima', que pretende compreender os efeitos da corrupção nas mulheres. Embora a adoção da primeira abordagem tenha lançado uma forte sombra sobre as investigações existentes, poucos estudos foram atribuídos à abordagem das mulheres baseada na vítima.
