It will suggest that a process-oriented wiki-mediated collaborative writing (PWMCW) approach can assist learners in practising writing in second/foreign language. The research aimed to provide a formal learning setting for writing outside the classroom, to train the ESL/EFL learner writers to target a new audience other than their instructor. In this way, they will learn to develop their abilities to share knowledge and to respond to peers and their own feedback. The study addressed three main questions: to explore how the students perceive the PWMCW, how the learner writers process it and how it impacts on their collaborative and individual texts. The study takes a quasi-experimental case study design in order to contribute to the continuity of development of learner writers regardless of place-related restrictions. It was carried out with a mixed-research design. The quantitative analysis provided robust statistical operations to identify the significance level the significance level for certain issues, e.g. e-feedback, authentic tasks and peers interaction.

This research was carried to examine the attitudes of language learners in higher education in Saudi Arabia. Through a short course of training, their attitudes were evaluated and compared with the previous attitudes before the training, and the strategies used were analysed. The participants' attitudes were measured through pre- and post- questionnaires that contained three elements: the students' attitudes, the types of training used and the strategies often practiced. This researcher found that the participants have previous positive attitudes towards online-based language learning; however, a low percentage of the students showed their negative and stagnant changes because of some interpersonal factors. Some recommendations were given to reduce these results. 76 pp. Englisch.

Les attitudes des participants ont ete mesurees a l'aide de questionnaires pre et post-formation comprenant trois elements: les attitudes des etudiants, les types de formation utilises et les strategies souvent mises en pratique. Le chercheur a constate que les participants avaient deja une attitude positive a l'egard de l'apprentissage des langues en ligne; cependant, un faible pourcentage d'etudiants ont montre des changements negatifs et stagnants en raison de certains facteurs interpersonnels.
