He studied at Nihon University, Department of Architecture, Tokyo, 1977 and later sculpture at Chelsea School of Art, London where he obtained his MA. Tsuchiya was an artist-in-residence at Bundanon, New South Wales, Australia, 1998, and received an Honorary Award from The London Institute, 1999. He completed the Sculpture Walk Project for the 2000 Olympic games in Sydney and in 2001 a Peace Monument in Yokoami Park, Tokyo. Signed by Author(s).
