First published in 1881 by the Daniel Press. The poem, a set of 4 line stanzas by Carroll is followed by a Latin metrical version of the same poem by Sir Richard Harrington. (210*128 mm). (Madan p113, 147/121. Sidney Herbert Williams p119 for 1st ed). A first version of the anthology had been printed privately in 1881 for Rachel's birth; the 1902 edition marks a refined, expanded, and typographically mature reissue, characteristic of the Daniel Press's final period.
