Contains a total of 31 SEPARATE MESSAGES/INAUGURALS/SPEECHES (almost 600 pages) all bound together in the one volume. Various imprints. Begins with (#1) Message of Governor James Clarke to the First General Assembly of the State of Iowa, Dec. 1846 (14pp). Followed by 30 additional messages/speeches to the State of Iowa (some multiple) by the following: Samuel Merrill; James Clarke; Ansel Briggs; Stephen Hempstead; James W. Grimes; Ralph P.
