Christians live all over the world, but most of them in the southern hemisphere. Faith and above all, everyday life is different everywhere, dependent on denomination, but on the face of it, the common origin is obvious.The word Protestantism was originally not a self-designation of the evangelic Christianity, it came into being by the letter of protestation by Lutheran princes against the decision of the Diet of Speyer in 1529, which banned Martin Luther s 95 theses. The word itself has two main options of being understood: it could stand for entering an objection, coming from the Latin word protestari or for bearing witness, coming from pro testare. And so both of those meanings became main indicators for Protestantism. Cette place était quasiment parfait pour cela grâce à la intersection de deux rues commerciales importantes et le havre. En 1234 le prince Witzlaw 1er a fondé la ville da Stralsund et elle a reçu le droit des villes. Le nom Stralsund vient du germain et Stral- veux dire le bec d' une flèche ou d'un épieu et -sund signifie la étroitesse. Le centre da la ville s'a trouvé autour du vieux marché.Stralsund est vite devenu une ville marchande très importante dans la région de la mer Baltique. Après l'extinction de la principauté de Rügen en 1325 Stralsund a appartenu à Pommern-Wolgast. Dans le 14ème siècle Stralsund était après Lübeck la ville hanséatique la plus importante dans la région de la mer Baltique du sud. Après la décadence de la hanse l'importance de Stralsund a décliné.Pendant la Guerre de Trente Ans la ville a résisté les pelotons de Wallenstein grâce a l'aide des Suédois. Depuis 1648 Stralsund était partie du Royaume de Suède comme Schwedisch-Pommern. Dans le 19ème siècle la ville a devenue partie da la Prusse et après le Premier Guerre Mondial un gouvernement municipal bourgeois s'est établie.
