Octavo; publisher's cloth-backed boards in pictorial dust jacket; [8],150pp.; frontispiece. Light shelf wear, a hint of dust-soil to rear jacket panel, cloth spine lettering rather dulled, foxing along front hinge, else a Very Good, still quite bright and attractive copy. The author's second novel "in the great tradition" of his first, The Horse Is Dead. A film adaptation appeared in the same year as the novel, starring George Segal and directed by Carl Reiner.
